RESEARCH FIELDS

Agronomic assessments, at the IRF and at local flower producers, of crops with low energy, water and fertilizer input, resistant to annual temperature and humidity changes.

Integrated and biological control testing for the most widespread flower species diseases.

Cultivation tests introducing environmentally and economically sustainable techniques, with a particular focus on the use of renewable energies (e.g. photovoltaic solar panels), innovative lighting systems (LED) and crop cooling and heating systems.
