The IRF hosts the Regional Phytopathological Analysis Laboratory Analysis (“La.R.A.F.”), which provides support to local businesses and administrations. The laboratory identifies and reports on major threats to cultivation and to flower species, in particular. La.R.A.F. has extensive experience concerning bacteria, fungi, viruses and entomological threats.
The IRF offers a phytopathological analysis service to support companies in maintaining the health of their nuclear stocks, particularly regarding viral diseases. The virology laboratory has gained particularly considerable experience in the cultivation of the carnation and ranunculus. Serological kits are provided for ELISA identification of the following viruses: CarMV, CarVMV, CERV.
